Classical Fighting Arts magazine has organized as many as three major karate events every year in Japan/Okinawa in the past 10 years. This experience has allowed us to build an exceptional network of connections with commercial partners that includes, government agencies, senior instructors, dojo, hotels, restaurants, media companies, and airlines. Integrating the CFA management team with our partners in Japan has allowed us to create a level of service, and therefore, a martial arts experience, that cannot be equaled.

Instructors
Tsutomu Nakahodo Sensei,
Uechi Ryu, 10th Dan Hanshi.
One of the most senior living karate masters, Nakahodo Sensei is extremely strong and active despite being born in 1933. He maintains a very muscular technique and beautiful crisp and powerful techniques, and is a patient and very attentive teacher.
Morio Higaonna Sensei,
Goju Ryu, 10th Dan Hanshi.
This legendary karate instructor has taught at almost every one of our events since they began in 2009, and is always a great favorite with our members. He has the ability to motivate members to the point where they achieve more than they ever imagined they could.
Minoru Higa Kobayashi Ryu,
Kobayashi Ryu, 10th Dan Hanshi.
The nephew of the legendary teacher Yuchoku Higa, who was an outstanding student of Choshin Chibana, Higa Sensei is the President of the Okinawa Prefectural Karate/Kobudo Renmei, and a retired insurance company executive. He is known for the physically demanding nature of his training, and his dynamic close fighting skills.
Zenpo Shimabukuro,
Seibukan Shorin Ryu, 10th Dan Hanshi.
The President of the Okinawa Prefecture Karate Do Rengokai and successor to the Seibukan form of Shorin Ryu karate developed by his father from the teachings of his instructor, the legendary Chotoku Kyan (Chan Mi Gwa). Shimabukuro Sensei has strongly influenced Okinawan karate during his tenure, for example by helping to establish Karate Day (October 25th) as a public holiday in Okinawa.
Yoshio Kuba,
Goju Ryu 10th Dan Hanshi.
Kuba Sensei continues the line of his teacher, Seikichi Toguchi, who was a student of both Chojun Miyagi and Seko Higa. He is known for his ability to incapacitate opponents with apparent ease, a skill that may owe something to his professional training as an acupuncture therapist. A dynamic and very accomplished teacher who has a large international following.
Tsuneo Kinjo,
Goju Ryu 9th Dan.
Kinjo Sensei’s fluent English combined with his impressive speed, power and karate skills have earned him a broad following among experienced karate students around the world. He manages to combine these attributes with a sparkling sense of humor which, his students say, takes the edge off the pain!
