About Kuramoto Sensei:
Masakazu Kuramoto Sensei is a retired senior civil servant who has made Okinawan Goju Ryu karate the study of a lifetime. A student of Morio Higaonna Sensei for more than 2 decades, he currently instructs at the Higaonna Dojo in Naha Okinawa, where he is one of the two senior instructors, the other being Uehara Sensei. He is noted for the quality of his technique, his superb physical condition and his dedication to Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate. As a result he if often delegated to replace Higaonna Sensei for overseas teaching assignments when the latter is not available.

Kuramoto has taught at our events CFA Seminars in Okinawa at the Prefectural Budokan and the Higaonna Dojo since 2009, and is very popular with our members. He teaches with accuracy and discipline while exhibiting a strong sense of humor. Technically superb, he has enormous energy and strength due to his intense personal training regime
